We Are TorBots FRC Team 1197

About TorBots

We focus on proper innovation and aim for the most efficient designs in our projects. Our engineering team's ideas help the rest of the team create proper functions around the common goal of success in real life situations.

Our programming team uses Java to write the code for our robots, and fixes all of the problems that can't be fixed with a hammer or a wrench.

Our Business Operations team handles our finances and sponsorships. They are hardworking and adaptive to the situation the team goes through. They also help make sure that there will be enough money to make the year productive.

"Robotics has been the best part of my life, and I know TorBots will continue to change the lives of students and members of the community."

Allison Lenhard

President 2015-2016

"Winning the Los Angeles Regional was an unbelievable experience; I don't think any of us imagined our robot's potential in the beginning of the season. Then to top that off, winning the Galileo Sub-Division and playing on Einstein just blew all of our minds. We had an amazing robot, an amazing team, and overall, an amazing season."

Jon Akiyama

Driver, President 2016-2017

"This year was amazing, we not only won the LA regional, which is one of the most difficult regionals, but we also won our division at worlds, Galileo. I hope each year team 1197 can build upon the previous year and become a better team. Success is not defined by the number of blue banners we have."

Brandon Ioki

Drive team/Mechanical engineering mentor, Former Student
